TITLE:DAVCO TTB II NONSLIP 20KGDESCRIPTION:
An economic thick and thin bed cement based adhesive, ideal for
fixing ceramic, quarry and most monocotturra tiles, slate, marble
and natural stone to interior and exterior walls and floors.
USES:
TTB can be used to lay tiles onto the concrete, cement render,
blockwork and rendered brickwork surfaces.
TTB can be used on walls and floors in both interior and exterior
application.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
All surfaces must be structurally sound, dry, clean and free from
movement, oil, grease, wax, curing compounds and other loose
contaminating materials.
Painted surfaces must be scabbled to expose at least 80% of the
original substrate.
Very porous surfaces should be primed with Davco 4 in 1
Primerflex/Additive.
New concrete must be allowed to cure for 28 days.
Newly rendered surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 7
days.
Steel trowel finished surfaces must be acid etched or wire brushed
prior to tiling.
For old concrete and rendered surfaces, a strong commercial grade
detergent or degreaser must be used to clean. Then thoroughly
remove detergent /degreaser with fresh water using a high pressure
hose.
All surface to be dry for at least 24 hours prior to tiling.
Ensure all release agents are removed from concrete surfaces,
especially tilt-up slabs;
MIXING:
Always add TTB powder to liquid component, mixing continuously
until a thick creamy consistency is achieved.
The mixing ratio is 20kg of TTB powder to approximately 5 litres of
liquid.
Allow the mix to stand for 10 minutes, remix then use the adhesive.
APPLICATION:
Spread the adhesive onto the substrate using a 6mm×6mm notched
trowel for walls, a 10mm×10mm 12mm×12mm notched trowel for floor
tiles.
Choice of notched trowel should be governed by the size of the
tile, depth of knobs, grooves or ridges on the back of the tile,
and evenness of the substrate.
A 6mm×6mm notched trowel is recommended for mosaic tiles.
Ensure that there are no voids under the tiles.
For tiles with deep groves or ridges, the adhesive should be
buttered onto the back of the tiles in the addition to being
trowelled onto the substrate.
Note: The adhesive coverage must be uniform and cover the entire
tile thoroughly. The bed thickness must be approximately half the
height of the square notched trowel used.

Coverage varies according to the site conditions and build up
required.

CLEAN UP
Excess adhesive and tools can be cleaned with water while the
adhesive is still wet.
SHELF LIFE:
Store in unopened bags in an elevated cool dry place. The shelf
life is one year under normal storage and transportation condition.
